These 20 Cities have the Hottest Home Markets in 2021 - Insurify

The state of Florida is one of the most popular places for people to buy homes. The cost of living is lower than in many states, the weather is warm and sunny most of the year, and there are many major tourist attractions throughout the state.

The sunshine state has always been known for its natural beauty with lush green landscapes and fine sunny beaches, so it was only natural that it would become a popular tourist destination.

The people who visit Florida are a highly desirable demographic for housing developers. However, not every city in the state is equally attractive to these buyers. Some of them will be drawn to specific areas based on their interests and needs, including geography or climate preferences, proximity to family members and friends, schools that their children have selected, and recreational amenities. But if you are thinking about buying property in Florida, what five of the hottest real estate markets should you consider?

Sarasota

The housing market here is thriving with a population increase of 10% since 2010, which means more jobs are coming into the area. Home prices have steadily increased by 8% since 2016. A growing job market and increasing home values make Sarasota an excellent choice for investing in real estate.

Home prices are steadily increasing, and jobs continue to be added into Sarasota.

The city is home to major industries such as banking and the arts that will only grow over time. Sarasota offers residents an excellent quality of life with low crime rates, great parks, and recreation areas, plenty of restaurants offering dishes from all around the world, plus it has many educational opportunities thanks to its universities within its borders. If you're thinking about investing in real estate or just getting out here for retirement purposes soon, then this might be one destination worth considering!

Palm Beach County

The home prices here have increased by 26% since 2016 due to the high demand for housing. The median price for a home is $830,000, and property taxes are on the higher end of the spectrum at over $11,000 per year.

The job market in Palm Beach County ranges from low-paying service industry jobs to high-paying professional positions such as doctors or lawyers; you'll have plenty of opportunities here! And monthly expenses will also be relatively low, with a median price of $1700 for housing, and the average cost of living in Palm Beach County is just over $14,000 per year.

Jacksonville

Jacksonville has seen a 19% increase in property values since 2016, and the median home price here is $260,000. Property taxes are significantly lower than Palm Beach County at a little over $3000 per year on average. Living expenses are also fairly low, with housing prices averaging about $950 per month for rent or mortgage payments.

The job market isn't as diverse as it could be; most positions available will offer annual salaries under 50k, but there's still plenty to do! Jacksonville offers popular tourist attractions like museums, beaches, golf courses, shopping malls, and more! The city has many unique neighborhoods with equally unique restaurants and bars. It's also home to several military bases, so the city is always busy with construction projects and new homes going up.

The job market in Jacksonville is also consistently growing, so there's plenty of opportunity and stability. It just might be time to contact the movers, get started with MoveDay Local Movers.

St. Augustine

Just southwest of Jacksonville is the city of St. Augustine-a beautiful small town with a rich history that has been consistently voted as one of America's best places to live! The cost of living in this charming coastal community ranges from $2700-$4000 per year for an average household. Housing costs are also affordable, hovering around $1000 per month on average.

There are plenty more historic buildings than you could explore in your lifetime here, most notable being Government House (the oldest house still owned by its builders) and the Fountain Of Youth Archaeological Park. This park features over 140 acres filled with Spanish moss-draped oak trees and springs bubbling 100 feet up out of the ground where visitors can bathe in the healing waters.

It's not just a great place to live-it's also an ideal spot for your business, with a highly skilled workforce and plenty of available office space that is affordable on any budget.

The weather here is perfect year-round! Warm winters make it easy to explore Florida by foot or bike; summers are short but invigorating, where you can enjoy outdoor concerts at our world-famous festivals like St. Augustine Blues Festival (the longest-running blues festival in America) and the nation's only living history museum called The Castillo de San Marcos fort which overlooks Matanzas Bay. Winter brings more snowbirds than anywhere else, so many locals have learned to embrace them as part of the culture.

Cape Coral/ Fort Myers

This region has seen steady growth in both population and home value over the last few years. Prices have been steadily climbing as well, so it's important to invest now before prices go up.

The Cape Coral and Fort Myers areas have an unemployment rate of around 12% in 2012. The median price for a home is $230,000, and the average property tax is $1500 per year. There are also plenty of jobs available, with an unemployment rate of just under 11%. The cost of living here averages about $14,400 annually.
