I rented in NYC for a long time... buying was virtually impossible in coops when I was young as most of the buildings were 100% cash purchases. In San Francisco and Sausalito I rented because I never intended to stay there long. Big mistake not buying the condo I rented in Sausalito and keeping it an investment property.

Endre Barath, Jr. I so get it, Endre. I had a client many years ago who always complained he couldn't save money... yet somehow he found enough money to buy at least three coffees a day at Starbucks... well, you know what coffee at Starbucks costs... 

Brian England hi Brian... I actually don't have sympathy for many renters... it's a choice for many for whatever reason... they spend their money on "trivials" instead of saving it for a downpayment, they don't make sure they have good credit, etc.

Roy Kelley good morning, Roy... still too many people out there finding excuses not to shop for a home of their own. Maybe in a low inventory environment that's not a bad thing, but it's the mindset I don't like.
