Does your child have a birthday coming up?
Birthdays are sacred days to young kids, and if you're a parent, you know it's a lot of fun adding to their excitement. Today, I have a few easy ways to show them how much you love them. Plus, many of them are cheap or free!
1. Leave Little Notes
Words of encouragement are always welcome with kids! These sweet kids notes are perfect to hide under their pillow, on their wall, in their backpack, and more. They'll be SO EXCITED to find the loving words everywhere - making them feel like king or queen for the day.
2. Give the Gift of an Experience

3. Write a Birthday Note
Did they do anything cool this year? What did they learn? What great qualities did they show?
We don't always have great opportunities to tell them how much we love them and how awesome we think they are. So, make their birthday a time to lift them up and encourage them to keep growing into their own. A birthday note can be a page long, or it can just be a few simple sentences. It's the intention that matters more than the length!
In Conclusion
There you have it! Of course kids love the cake and presents, but there are other ways to make them feel special. Luckily, these take very little time, effort, and money. Ironically though, they are the things they'll remember when they grow up - the love, affection, and excitement they felt on their birthday.
