Not Fit for Man, Woman or Beast

In Sacramento when temps reach 107 degrees, it's important tasks be completed early in the day. Then have a nice lunch, and understand there's nothing more important that keeping one of your kitties company while he naps, and you watch Judge Judy.
We're in a heat wave here. Tomorrow's temp is slated for 113 degrees - Not fit for man, woman or beast!

Hi Myrl- having lived in South Florida and Houston, I can tell you that I've never been in temps that hot!!!  Stay cool and keep hydrated.

Stay in where it's cool and safe, Myrl.  I've heard of a few deaths in our area of older people who had no air conditioning.  Sad.

Thanks for all the comments, everyone.  Our heatwave is continuing, with 105 slated for today.  It's supposed to begin cooling (to the upper 90s) tomorrow.

Stay cool anyway you can Myrl.  It's hot here as well and I am trying to stay inside as much as possible.  Even the pool water is too hot!

When the temperature hovered over 110° here in Washington state I was in Maui with a comfortable 85°. It was my 2020 vacation which was postponed for a year Myrl Jeffcoat

It's tough on people AND pets when it gets that hot. Hopefully your heat wave has abated a bit now. What a fun photo of your kitty!

We were in Palm Springs for several days right after the 4th and it was 111 one day and 113 the next...at 11 in the morning!

I've always heard it isn't the heat that gets you, it's the humidity. It's common to reach 100 degrees in the south, but it's a muggy heat. I guess you have the right idea. Do what you have to do early then stay inside under the AC.

Hello Myrl.  We made it through the last heat wave.  When it gets hot like that my wife and I like to head west to Monterey, or Carmel or Half Moon bay.  Staying inside with the AC is always a good choice too.

Myrl Jeffcoat -  Cats are the ony pets I know that seem to adapt to any weather changes. You can always tell when a dog is hot by how much they drool. Being able to adapt is a gift! I hope the weather has cooled off for you.

The heat is bad but the humidity in our part of the world is fierce.  75 with a temp that feels like 95 with 100% humidity.
