Vendors Sought for Labor Day Fireworks & Oktoberfest

 

Special events are back in Gaithersburg, and organizers are seeking vendors and participants as crowds return to celebrate Labor Day and Oktoberfest. Food trucks and food vendors only can apply to participate in the Labor Day Picnic & Fireworks at Bohrer Park on Sunday, September 5. The application deadline is August 4.

Vendors of all types, including artisans and commercial businesses, food and beverage purveyors, nonprofit organizations, and political candidates, can apply to participate in Oktoberfest, taking place in the Old Farm and Downtown areas of Kentlands on Sunday, October 10. The deadline to apply is August 23. Forms are available on the page links.

I would pass on the fireworks but the Oktoberfest event is something I might enjoy attending.  I hope that they get the vendors that they need.

I leaned many years ago that Oktober Fest in Germany  is celebrated in September from a German couple we were seated accross the aisle on a trip back from Hawaii.  It starts mid September and goes until the fist Sunday in October...A
