Dale - Just stopped by to take a look over your new blog on basements. We don't have basements over in our area. I will be interested to see how you comment to Nancy's question. Your new site looks good, you have been adding lots of new items for sure. - Carl

Dale, we don't own any properties with sump pumps but I've shown lots of homes and you can see where there's been water damage in the past at some. It would make me think twice.

Howdy Nancy

Thank ya for stopping to visit.

For your first question: It's really not the job of the home inspector to advise their client to buy or not to buy any given home. All the inspector should do is to make the client aware of various defects, and of any tell - tale signs that may of been found during the inspection. It's up to the client to digest this information and to make an educated judgment as to if they should buy or not buy the property.

As for your second question: Seen that I only give the signals that a home inspector should be looking for, and not any definite thing that may have been found wrong. I can not really give a answer to this one.

God Bless The U.S.A.
