Missing Lilies in Kentlands

I went out to our side yard to cut some of our lilies like the one in this photograph and they were all gone. Evidently the deer ate them overnight. It is not a good idea to defer flower cutting when you have deer in the neighborhood.

Thankfully, we still have other lilies and dahlias on display in our home.

Good morning, Roy... hard to control those deer. For a minute I thought you were going to say some humans came and cut down your flowers. I used to see that happen all the time from my windows in NYC... people picking flowers from the Park Avenue Mall, which we residents paid to plant. I'd lean out my window and yell.

Well, at least you are providing something important for the deer, haha.  I am sure they were beautiful before the deer at them.

Well, those darn deer at least have good taste!😊  I once worked at a software development company on grounds that had all sorts of wildlife.  We use to ponder how to save the landscape from the deer.

Roy, I thought someone dug up your lilies, but those darn deer.   Lesson learned, cut earlier!

I had no idea that the deer would partake of those.

Oh no Roy! This reminds me of when we lived in Leesburg, VA, and I'd planted caladiums in our front yard. The next day I realized that I'd fed most of the deer in the area!
