On July 26, 2021, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Census Bureau reported nationwide new single family home sales declined 6.6% to an annual rate of 676,000 homes in June of 2021 from 724,000 homes in May of 2021, and fell 19.4% from in June of 2020 an annual rate of 704,000 homes.
The median new home sold value was $361,800, while the average sales price was $428,700 in June of 2021. There were estimated 353,000 new houses for sale, and 6.3 months supplies of available inventory at the end of June of 2021.
