And So It Goes. . .
Expected surprises along with definite possibilities. Ah, yes - oxymorons. Like so many things, they are a part of life. And yes, they happen each month. Without fail.
Now as one month ends and another begins, we are reminded of things experienced as well as things yet to come. For no particular reason I am thinking of things that are tidy and the broader topic of tidiness.
As we know July is a month of 31 days. So is the month we are about to enter. But the calendar we now use tells us that's not true for each month. So much of what happens on a daily basis(let alone by the moment or the month) may not be exactly the same but is certainly similar. I wonder if it would it be better, more organized, if each month was an equal number of days? Purely for scheduling purposes, mind you. Neat and tidy. All wrapped up in an orderly little package.
It may not be the “gift” we might wish and it reminds me that some people have a misconception about the "present". And by "present" - I mean the here and now. Come on, that's not an accurate appraisal of where we are. And it's not a true portrayal of the past either which perception helps form other thoughts in ones mind which can be quite different from reality. I haven’t been “there” yet but I am pretty sure it isn’t the future either.
So with that said, we will welcome a new month. Hold on. I am sure there will be some familiar experiences and likely a surprise or two along the way.
