Friday Fun...Are You Superstitious?
Since it’s Friday the 13th I was curious if you have or know anyone who is superstitious about this day.
Years ago when I still wore suits and high heels, I was with one of my consultants calling on clients in downtown Houston.
My consultant was superstitious, so we could not step on a crack or walk under the scaffolding that was on many of the sidewalks. We ended up walking out of our way to avoid it. Downtown blocks in Houston are long and my feet were killing me!
Just the other day, I wrote a post about how dropping your chopsticks on the floor is thought to be unlucky. And I have found myself knocking wood or biting my tongue in some situations, knowing full well that neither of those actions will make any difference.
The University of Houston went on a winning streak and I was wearing a particular UH shirt. Guess what shirt I still wear when they’re playing!?!
What about you? Are you superstitious? Do you have little things you do that might be considered superstitious?
