The Charlotte regional housing market has also remained strong. Year-to-date as of July 2021, average home sale prices have increased 18% to $379,701, while median home sale prices have increased 15.4% to $315,000. Demand for Charlotte region homes is reflected in the year-to-date days on market, which were down 51.2% to 20 days from 41 days compared with the same time one year ago. Meantime, home sellers continue to get a premium price for their homes, with the percent of original of original list price received up 3.6% year-to-date to 100.9%.

With Charlotte region housing inventory still at less than 1 month and half that of what it was last year, demand for homes remains high relative to supply.
