The Importance of Professional Real Estate Photography

Professional real estate photography is an excellent way to stand out among other agents. Real estate photos, when taken by a professional photographer, can significantly help sell listings faster and at higher prices for the agent.

With so many properties on market each day it's important that you give potential homebuyers a good first impression with appealing pictures of your listing online so it will stand out in a sea of listings.

Professional real estate photography is guaranteed to grab the attention of buyers and generate an emotional response. using lighting, angles, and other tricks to capture each home's unique beauty so that it appeals more directly towards potential buyers.

When it comes to real estate photography for residential properties, demand that your photographer provides the best quality images that resemble the actual home. Not overprocessed images that use excessive editing. You want your home to appear the same in photos as it does in person. The last thing you want to hear from a buyer is “the home looked so much better online than it does in person”, or “the house was so bright in the photos and it is so dark in person”. This upsets your potential buyers and leaves them disappointed.

The value of professional Franklin TN real estate photography has always been high, but it's especially more important in today's market. Why? The answer is simple: video production! Video is a powerful tool that can be used to capture the attention and entertain audiences everywhere - With beautifully produced videos you'll communicate information about your listings efficiently while catching viewers' eyes with stunning visuals, and storytelling techniques. You can see a great example below Video is a great way to get potential buyers emotionally invested in your listing prior to seeing it in person.

Hi Elizabeth and welcome to ActiveRain!!! You are absolutely correct about professional photographs. Unlike many years ago, they are expected now if you want to compete.

Thank you for the welcome Kathy, Professional home staging is a must these days as well. If it does not look like a hgtv show you will hear about it.

To keep up with this crazy market recently stepped up to a full in house media department so I can keep the quality up and my turnaround super short, photos and video can now be live in the mls with a full media package in under 5 hrs from contract signing weather permitting without sacrificing quality.

It is still shocking how many camera phone photos go live of really nice homes I see listed on the MLS.

Good morning Elizabeth, great information to share about the value of professional photography. I agree great photos help draw more showings, potentially more offers and for higher dollar amounts. In the end it's worth the expense. Welcome to ActiveRan.

Professional photography is the norm in my market. Amateur pictures stand out and the agents usually wonder why the listing tends to sit.

When I first got into the real estate business, I took my own photos for listings using a 35 mm digital camera with built in flash. That worked well enough then but times have changed. Now, our Team uses a professional photographer who supplies photos, a 3D tour and drone photos.

We have to present a good product to sellers who trust us to sell their house and to attract buyers whose first exposure to the house is likely to be on their personal device.
