Motivational Monday...Giving
Have you ever watched something and couldn’t stop smiling and clapping?
The other night I watched the final performances of this year’s America’s Got Talent.*
This year’s winner, magician Dustin Tavella, inspired the judges and audience with his stories, especially his performance at the finale.
He told the story of how one person who entered his life and that of his parents turned all of their lives around. If you listen to just the first minute and a half, you’ll see what I mean.
If you have more time to invest in the 6+ minute video, you will not be disappointed.
His message is that each one of us has something to give to others. It isn’t just about giving a donation of money but giving our time...an ear when someone needs us to listen...a smile when one is needed.
It may mean stepping up when no one else will. It could mean that special thumbs up or pat on the back that says “I’ve got your back.”
If you need a boost to begin your week, think about who needs your help this week.
And if you have some extra time, watch the video!

You can give without loving, but you can never love without giving. Robert Louis Stevenson
* (For those of you who do not watch America’s Got Talent, I would encourage you to give this one a try. Some of the talent on the show is better than the professionals we see)
