Caught in the Act
I stumbled across this older photo of our cat, Berkeley, sitting on a cutting board on the kitchen counter some years ago.
Cats tend to do what they want, when they want, even if they have been told to stay off the counter. His look says it all, I think..."caught in the act, but I'm still not moving!"

So true Kathy Streib They ARE in charge and do what they want. Berkeley usually doesn't appear to have any guilt about what he is doing.

Years ago I played heck catching our cat who I could always hear on the kitchen counter after the lights went out. Both the cat and the owner no longer an issue. lol Enjoy the weekend ahead. M

It seems very apparent that he knows he is doing something that he is not supposed to be doing, haha.
And a look that just says it knows who's in charge and there's nothing you can do about it

Yes, Quincy jumps wherever he pleases, and we have had cats that jump on top of a kitchen cupboard also. Regardless, they are delight to have as owners of us. LOL A

Jeff Dowler, CRS - I read your comment to Nina Hollander, Broker about your Maine Coon Cat and had to laugh. I miss not being able to travel to my daughter's house or to see my grandcats. One is a Maine Coon who definitely has a mind of his own and even today, when my daughter and I do facetime, and I call his name he comes running and talks to me but the other regular cat who I babysat in San Diego where she was born and my daughter lived at the time of her birth could care less. Although I never caught the Maine Coon on my daughter's kitchen counter tops, I have observed him on the Patio and how he acts in the backyard and the rest of the rooms. He really does have a mind of his own and is quite entertaining. Unfortunately, my daughter always has to reprimand him while we are on FaceTime and he sasses back at her.
By the way, Berkeley is beautiful and I would love your cat even if he (or she) were on the cutting board.

Good morning Jeff - that look certainly does say everything but he is staying.
Oh yes, cats are an independent bunch who can be defiant. They bring so much joy, that some things can be overlooked Jeff. Cute pic!
