5 Ways to Boost Curb Appeal on a Budget

It pays to make the first impression a lasting one. Here are 5 tips which will not break the bank:

  1. Update the front door. Replacing an outdated door can be just what your home needs. This simple change can go a long way in changing the appearance of your home. If your door doesn’t need to be replaced, adding a pop of color can make for a bright change.
  2. Spruce up the landscaping. Landscaping is one of the first things people notice walking up to a house. Give your home a quick face lift by cleaning up your yard, mowing the lawn, trimming bushes, and keeping your steps clean.
  3. Freshen up the paint. New paint has the power to totally transform the look of your house in less time and for less cash than any other remodeling project. A new coat of paint will also protect your home from the sun, wind, and rain.
  4. Shed light on your home. Make your home more inviting by adding some soft lighting outside. Highlight pathways and trees with landscape lighting. This not only improves safety, but also has a dramatic effect on your home’s nighttime appeal.
  5. Keep up with maintenance. Nothing looks worse from the curb than crooked gutters, broken shutters, missing bricks from the front steps, or peeling paint. Simply refastening gutters, replacing bricks, and straightening your shutters can go a long way in boosting your home’s curb appeal.

Hi Roy,  Great choice for a re-blog.  It is always important to have that great curb appeal to attract potential buyers - it's even better when it's done on a strict budget.
