Sarah,
I just moved my parents from Kentucky to SC. It was very hard knowing I probably won't go back except for the occasional drive through and to the horse park. My husband's family is from WVA, Rand/Charleston area. I went to school in Morehead and spent lots of time in WVA,. It's gorgeous there and it's really nice to see a Realtor who loves there home and is passionate about selling to those who will love it as much. I feel that way about SC now although KY will always be my home.
Beautiful video..enjoy the lazy days of summer in the Blue Ridge......
Sarah - that is a beautiful video/slideshow. I would probably burn a disc for each child and put it away for them for later in life. To be given to them on one of those milestone birthdays - 16 comes to mind. You're a wonderful ambassador for West By God Virginia.
Sarah: What an absolutely beautiful show. I just sat here with my eyes glued to the screen... watching all the beautiful sights and scenery. Thanks so much for sharing with us.
Sarah, is there a hidden message in the video? A reason you would be questioning why and where you are? As someone who moved from the South to the Midwest, it has always been hard to feel that at home feeling. Even though I love Ann Arbor, in my heart of hearts I know it isn't that place I call "home".
My kids (except Christa) were all born here, so it is "home" to them.
Very nice video and thoughts. Be sure to take the foregoing suggestion to make copies for your children and present them with the gift at an age they will appreciate and cherish the thoughts and meaning.
Hi Sarah! Enjoyed your video. Wish I had videos from my childhood! Would love to see my house on Lanikai (HI) where most of my fondest memories live. Funny the things we remember.
Sarah, what an amzing show! I hope your kids enjoyed it and saw the love in it as much as I did. I think it so important (especially in a day where our kids question everything... since they know more than us?) to go ahead and put it out there. When love is the reason why, it is hard to question it...
Sarah, I can understand how you feel. Kentucky is that way for me. I didn't think I would move back here but childhood memories put it in a special catagory. That part can never be replaced.
I just visited my grandparents last week w/my daughter Jordan. This brings back down home wholesome memories I have growing up in WVA in the summers. NCA reminds me a lot of WVA. Anyway, I visited the Blenko glass factory while I was there and I actually thought of you!
Having just followed ResPres's vacation and hearing the pure joy in his voice when he talked about West Virginia I can totally understand how special it is for you and your family. Beautiful!
