For those who may be wondering about climbing the Active Rain Leaderboard and what it means, this post is for you. Eleven years ago when I began blogging here in the Rain, I had no idea about points, leaderboards, or any of the other nuances of this blogging site.
Through the years, as blogging has become a part of my normal life, I have learned so much in the Rain. I also began to understand the point system and what it really meant. The main thing the points provide is the ability to move up the leaderboard.
Where's the leaderboard you ask? Here is the way to access it:
1. Go to your homepage.
2. Look at the left-hand side box and click on the ranking number. This takes you to the Leaderboard and shows you where you rank in your state.
3. As you post, comment, participate in challenges and contests, ask questions, follow others, invite others, etc., the points begin to build up.
4. When your points begin to build, you move up the leaderboard and the bonus is you are now actively engaging in a thriving community.
It's been fun climbing the leaderboard in Texas. We have a big state so naturally, we have a lot of active Rainer's. I am just proud to be among those leaders.
As my points have climbed, I have gained much more than a score. I have gained confidence as a blogger, found some life-long dear friends, have learned about SEO in a big way, and have had a lot of fun.
So, if you are ready to climb the AR leaderboard, just jump on in. This is a great place to learn and collaborate with like-minded professionals!
