I advertised a rental on Craigs List last week. I received more than 20 calls/ emails.

it is a one bedroom apartment . It has not been rented out yet because the owner wants the tenants to have good credit . Some people had no idea where it was located though I mentioned the town. Some who knew about it did not have good credit. Some were looking for a six month lease and some for one month lease . I am sure it will be rented quickly.

If you have a place for rent, Craigs list is a great place to advertise rentals.

I try to help people find a rental because when they are ready to buy they call me. I stay in touch with them even if we do not manage the property.

Hi Gita --

My experience with Craig's list when I was renting one of my condo's in Orlando --- a lot of calls and traffic to see it, but when they were given the terms (must be approved by the condo board which means a certain credit score) none would qualifiy or afraid they wouldn't . I ended up putting in the mls and paid the realtor who brought them in a large, flat fee --- (twice what others were listed for)--- rented in a week and had no vacant time ----

You are a much more patient person than I --

I have tried Craigs List several times with no luck but you never know.

 Patricia and Gene, I have not got any calls for sales but get many calls for rentals from Craigs list

We are seeing a larger demand for rentals too. I think the people that are on the fence (to purchase) are all picking up rentals.
