Have you ever wanted to send a text message but didn't want to take the time to punch the keys over and over on your keypad to type it out?
Well today I found out how easy it is to send a text message by using email. All you need to know is the persons 10 digit cell phone number and their carrier's email address (@vtext.com).
If the recipient is a Verzion Wireless customer, in the To Field, enter his or her 10 digit-phone number followed by @vtext.com. For example, enter 7935551234@vtext.com.
If the recipient is a Nextel customer, in the To Field enter his or her 10-digit phone number followed by @messaging.nextel.com. For example, enter 7035551234@messaging.nextel.com.
If the recipient is a Sprint customer, in the To Field, enter his or her 10-digit phone number followed by @messaging.sprintpcs.com. For example, enter 7035551234@messaging.sprintpcs.com.
If the recipient is a AT&T custormer, in the To Field, enter hir or her 10-digit phone unmber follow by @txt.att.net. For example, enter 7035551234@txt.att.net.

Great pointer! Done it for a while now. Just have to make sure its SHORT because SMS (text messaging) is only designed to be a few characters long, not a full email.
