Speechless Sundays - Fall Foliage

Living as one with nature really makes your awareness of change heightened. When we lived in the heart of the city, we were a bit more separated from the climate and changes Mother Nature sent our way than we are now. It is strikingly remarkable how quickly we have gone from summer to winter - with very little fall whatsoever!

The foliage is gorgeous but, it took a bit to change and then it seemed to happen overnight! While my photos of the closest color we can see are striking to us, they are not nearly as remarkable as the New England colors that George Souto shares with us each year!

Oh, I do love that sound, Michael Jacobs! I was leaving a listing appointment last week and beneath those leaves was an acorn that rolled with me when I stepped on the leaf on top of it. I have no idea how I didn't fall but, thankfully I didn't!

I realized the older we get, how much more care we need to give to stepping on those leaves - something that never crossed our minds as younger adults!

And, that hill was ever so slight but, I'm sure that by the time I would have found myself at the end of the driveway, my skirt would have been over my head...a great place for it to hide the embarrassment! LOL
