HGTV has a new show  - The Stagers
It starts this Tuesday, July 1st,  in Canada and July 22nd in the States - I cannot wait to see this!

Takes place in Vancouver (my favorite city) at a design firm.  13 episodes are on track and depending on response more will be ordered.

Apparently the craft of Staging does not have enough drama...there are dust-ups between the mother-daughter staging team, a prima donna - Jay, and uber stager - Matthew.

Do you think this will help or hurt our industry?

And, does this mean Staging is now accepted by the mass media?

I can't wait to see it either Margaret.  I sure hope it has a more accurate reflection of what it is that we really do in real life.

Margaret, I hope it  portrays us as Professionals and not a  bunch of "Drama Queens" and I hope the prices they talk about are realistic. All eyes will be watching this Sunday.

Although the idea of the show is a great one, I was disappointed that premiere episode, featured a stager, who did nothing but whine and complain!  Although the end result was nice, he made it painful getting there!

I love watching all of the shows on HGTV but find more often than not it gives the public a false impression on what can be done with very little or no money.

I love the show... love love love it actually.  I still have to watch this week's tivo'd show, but I do watch them every week and am thrilled they are coming back next season!
