Thanksgiving Challenge 2021...For The Manning Brothers
Some may say that I’ve stooped to a new low and they may be right but I am very thankful for this year’s Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli Manning.
If you are a lover of football, as I am, you might appreciate hearing the two retired NFL, two-time (each) Super Bowl Champions dish on the game while it is being played.
The perspective they bring to the game is one I’ve never heard from other announcers. And, I’ve watched a lot of football.
Peyton knows and loves football and it’s as if you were invited into their dens to watch the game with them.
The show is live and during the lulls in the game, the brothers will rib each other.
There are also guests...Tom Brady, Al Michaels, Michael Strahan, Phil Mickelson, just to name a few. And these guests know their football as well.
My youngest grandson and I have FaceTimed during the show. He is the only one in his home who loves the sport so if he’s not doing his homework, we’ll compare notes.
If I played football (and let’s face it, there’s no chance of that) I would watch this show.
I have no idea if this will be on next year but I’m very thankful that they are giving it a try this year. You can’t beat Peyton for his humor, his knowledge, and I love how he pokes fun at himself.
The show is on Monday Nights on ESPN2 during the NFL Season. Be sure to check your local listings.
Thank you to Peyton and Eli for adding a wonderful new layer to my Monday Night Football watching. (BTW Peyton said why he audibled "Omaha")
