Thanksgiving... Today, as we celebrate a National Holiday, I wish you the happiest Thanksgiving Day and to thank you for the gratitude I feel for the things in life that have made me feel safer, healthier, and more successful.
I am thankful... For those in the industry of saving lives by implementing better and safer building construction, roads, and infrastructure, thank you for keeping everyone safer. If you are in the medical field saving lives in crises or rescuing people and animals from loss of life, I am profoundly thankful because you make loved ones more grateful. When it comes to life, there is no greater gift than anything store bought, homemade, or manufactured. For the people with competency skills that teach with truth, honesty, encouragement so that others can learn how important it is to know that doing things right means more to others than just helping them get through a course, continuing education, or making the grade.
Especially Grateful... I feel especially thankful to those instructors who don’t deviate from course materials and lectures substituting text material for opinions or stories about why they differ from what they are supposed to teach and students begin to realize, there is nothing in the materials or handouts that have any connection to what the instructor is saying. To be taught by passionate teachers who understand that forming your own opinion may be interesting, it isn’t the foundation of the basics people need to know who are learning.
Pearls of Wisdom... I would be remiss if I didn’t share something about safety. I am deeply grateful for the driving instructor from Driver’s Ed who gave me the most important lesson about life when I was a student in High School. With just a few words, that man changed my perception of what it means to be behind the wheel. He said, you passed…. Every time you get behind a wheel remember you are a potential killer. Always be aware of your surroundings and never take driving for granted.
What I learned... As the years went by, I applied what I learned to other things in life I do for a living, such as a sales agent in real estate. My clients are in the driver’s seat and I serve their needs providing guidance and information about things that matter and what they need to know about contract law before they sign, always mindful of what I say and what I do because as a REALTOR®, no matter what I think, the most important thing I can give my clients is following the Code of Ethics.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone... When I say I am thankful, it comes from the heart…Patricia Feager
