Carol Williams and Andrea Bedard challenged the ActiveRain community in the December Challenge: 'Tis the Season for Miracles & Scares to “spread some joy and share a Christmas season miracle.”
It can be a personal miracle or a professional one, it just must be tied to the holidays in any way we are celebrating in December.
The “holidays” mean different things to different people. People celebrate holidays in different “untraditional” ways as well as traditional Christian and/or “religious” ways.
For the context of this post, “miracle” defined by Oxford Languages is a highly improbable or extraordinary event, development, or accomplishment that brings very welcome consequences.
I celebrate, not only in December but every day of the year, all the miracles that occur in my life and all around me. So many miracles big and small both personal and professional.
On December 1, 2021, I experienced a personal miracle of forgiveness and acceptance after so many long years of misunderstanding. This miracle is transformational and brings very welcome consequences. There is no doubt in my mind that divinity and providence delivered this miracle.
December 3, 2021, I was having lunch with a friend when someone walked in. If you could have seen the look on their face as they did a double and triple take to confirm it was me. What are the odds that 9+ years later I would be at that restaurant at that exact time to experience such a “chance” encounter? This was someone who did me wrong. Very. Wrong. Using a little humor here. The true miracle is that I did not say what I was thinking to this person. I greeted them with kindness and grace and wished them a Merry Christmas.
This December 2021 I am celebrating my accomplishment of serving so many probate and trust real estate clients who hired me to list their homes. I am so blessed to work with so many wonderful people.
I spread the joy of the season by offering small gifts of gratitude ($$$) to the people who do my hair and nails. It is the season of giving. Receiving for so many may be experienced as a miracle. Miracles are about what we give as well as what we receive. It feels so good to give. To give is to receive the blessing of the holiday season.
All past clients receive a Happy New Year Card with a handwritten personalized note.
I will personally deliver a box of chocolates to my optometrist, dentist, internist, and CPA.
Several of my close personal friends will receive a small gift to celebrate the joy of the season and the blessings we share together all throughout the year!
Many phone calls will be made to people near and far to hear about the miracles in their life and how they are spreading the joy of the season.
If I wait any longer to write my entry to this post it will be too long for most to read. Miracles happen all the time not just during the holiday season.
