Today is December 7th and every year I think of the year 1941. This day as FDR said 'would live in infamy.' There has been a lot of years that passed and not many people even remember this day when the Empire of Japan attacked the United States at Pear Harbor.
My point is we should remember this day and learn from it. I have many friends who are of Japanese descent. I learned to love Sashimi, Sushi and many other ethnic foods that we can attribute to the Japanese because, of the friendships we developed and I learned to appreciate the food I was not familiar with.
Most importantly, the lessons are, that not all people are evil. There are politicians who paint the wrong scenario for their own personal gains, but it does not mean we need to allow them or permit them to get away with it.
Diane asked me the other day when are you going to put up the Christmas Flag? Then answered her own question that the American Flag stays up until after December 7th.
In spite of that, I have had many Japanese clients and we managed to get along, because of the connections we built. It is not about ethnic divisions, or holding grudges over events that happened many decades ago. It is about uniting in one nation.
