Happy New Year and So Long 2021
Last year there were many who could not wait for the door to hit 2020 on the behind! And here we are about to say adios to 2021.
A Memorable Event…
Valentine’s Day we had snow…and not just snow but a hard freeze that caused many water pipes to burst and a power outage for many of us.
Houstonians are prepared for hurricanes and floods and the rare light dusting of snow, however, this took all of us by surprise.
We were without power for 3 days but thank goodness no burst water pipes. For those who had to deal with the damage from broken water pipes, their plumbers, if they could get one, had difficulty finding supplies.
Toilet Paper, I Have But Where’s My CoffeeMate and Pasta?
You do remember the great TP shortage of 2020, don’t you? Well thanks to TPTB, we experienced somewhat of a supply shortage of other goods. Our H-E-B which is a huge Texas grocery chain does a remarkable job of keeping their shelves stocked, even if what they’re stocked with is their own brand.
However, I have found that my favorite CoffeeMate flavor and others as well is getting hard to find and for many weeks I could not get certain types of pasta.
Have you noticed any of this in your area?
What I’m Taking With Me Into 2022
I’m still trying to learn something every day and I will take that with me. What I’m also taking with me are memories I’ve made with friends and family. And, that family includes my family of ActiveRain members. And I could not leave out one member I had the opportunity of meeting on her Journey of a Lifetime. Thank you Carol Williams
What about you? What was a memorable moment for you in 2021?
