In the heart of Lawrence Station is the similarly named Lawrence Train Station, which serves as a focal point for the neighborhood. The Caltrain line defines the community's northern boundaries, while E Evelyn Avenue and Monroe Street define its southern boundaries. The suburb stretches from west to east, with its western and eastern borders marked by S Wolfe Road and Bowers Avenue. West and central parts of the suburb's residential development consist of various multi-family projects, including flats, townhomes, and condos. The eastern half of the neighborhood, on the other hand, is primarily made up of single-family residences. The overwhelming bulk of the housing portfolio in Lawrence Station is comprised of apartment blocks.
