“Real Estate & Mortgage Outlook for 2022”

Mr. Petrowsky,

I am not exactly sure how I originally got to reading your blogs on Linkedin, but am a regular follower. Your blogs are very insightful and will certainly reach out to you in 2022 as I will be needing a mortgage. I am 34 and will be a first time home buyer.

In reading some of your advice, it seems to me that you don’t see home values dropping anytime soon and you also don’t see interest rates going crazy in 2022, is that correct?

I am fortunate to have a very good job, my current income is $75,000 and been with this company going on 3 years. Do you have any advice for me to focus on over the next few months? Jerri

Do I think real estate values will drop in 2022, hell NO! Will values continue to rise at the same levels that they did in 2021, hell NO, but values will continue to move up.

Will interest rates move up like crazy in 2022, hell NO. Will they increase dramatically from the current levels, hell NO.

There are many factors that will affect rates, namely inflation that is caused by supply chain issues, dramatic increases in oil and gas along with massive government spending, just to name few. Another factor that may even reduce rates is the possibility of debt defaults in China.
