cityscapeConcord is New Hampshire's Capitol City_____ As such it is a hub of Political activity and notoriety. The First in the Nation Primary brings many political wanna bees -famous and not so famous- to our Main Street and corner stores. The people in the area take this power to "meet and great" very seriously. Our House of Representatives numbers between 375-400 members, representing every district in the State. This is a true reflection of public service in that they each receive only $200 compensation per year. Our Representative Hall is the oldest chamber in the US still in continuous Legislative use.

But for those of us who live here...there is another side of Concord. Neighborhoods! These neighborhoods have their own Community Centers, Churches, Parks, Pools and Grammar schools. This neighborhood structure allows every resident to experience a taste of small town life...in the city. The neighborhood schools allow the children to get to know the kids in "their" neighborhood giving them a sense of belonging. This also prepares them for Middle and High School where all the City's children attend Rundlett Middle School and then Concord High. They are guaranteed to know a few fellow students because of their neighborhood school beginnings. There are countless Neighborhood Fairs, Bake Sales, Auctions, Fund Raisers and of course Parades!

Concord has a vibrant Downtown. The Downtown Concord Group is constantly promoting and celebrating the uniqueness of our Main Street and Downtown area. Concord's  residents shop the nearby Mall and Strip Malls but cherish and remain loyal to "Their Downtown"

This community also has many opportunities for Recreation. There is the Everett Skating Arena and Skateboarding Park,Beaver Meadow Golf Course, The Audubon Society Center, NH Forest Society's Public areas are along the Merrimack, many boat launches along the Merrimack and 19 Hiking Trails within the city limits. The mountains and ocean are both within an hours drive. paddlers

Concord has premiere Services, a  "State of the Art Hospital" (Concord Hospital) Several Family practices and Specialty Professionals. There are numerous Law Firms. There are many opportunities for Continuing Education...Franklin Pierce Law School, NHTI Community College, Hesser and UNH satellite college campuses.

I have been fortunate enough to enjoy this community for over 22 years. I recommend it highly to any client that is seeking a sense of Community with ample opportunity for Culture, Education, Recreation and a supurb Quality of Life. If you are thinking New Hampshire...think Concord !

Joan, Foodies is a fun pizza place in Concord, NH isn't it?

The capitol building looks great with its shiny gold cap. Easy to spot off the highway.
