Tinkering
One of my favorite past time has always been tinkering. I had always wished I could make a living at it but in todays "throw away" society there is no place for a professional tinkerer.
Today was a good day for me as a tinkerer. After my very favorite past time, Men's Bible Study, I got busy fixing things around the house. I repaired an extension cord, a power tool battery charger, a frying pan control, and a minor repair to a big old HP copy machine.
I also tinkered with all three of our cars (not Tina's as she is now back in Milwaukee). We had a few super sub-zero days with actual temperatures around 25 degrees below zero and wind chill (feel like) temps of 60 degrees below zero. My car and Carol's car had check engine lights come on so I investigated those and reset them. Timmothy's car however has not started for two days so he and I set our sights on getting it running again. We tried a lot of "stuff" including throwing a high power hair dryer under the hood for 2 hours but nothing got that car running. Oh well, that's what auto clubs are for so I'll give them a call tomorrow.
