Even though it is chiefly made up of residential properties, the southern half of the neighborhood that flanks El Camino Real contains commercial structures home to various restaurants, shops, and other small enterprises. Attractions in the area include Castro Park and Mariposa Park.  There are some shopping and leisure facilities and a couple of retail stores that are ideal for your food shopping needs to the south. Mariano Castro Elementary School and Mountain View Academy are two of the schools in the area. Mariano Castro Elementary School is located within the suburb.
