A Sunny Day in Historic Old Town Folsom

Sacramento experienced warmer temps and blue skies today. After, a session on the torture machines at my local health club, I took a drive to nearby Old Town Folsom. The quaint shops, restaurants, cafes. brewery and wineries have a little something for everybody. However, today, it was a visit to Snook's Chocolate Factory and Ice Cream Shop calling my name!

The historic Old Town ice rink which occupies space of the old Railroad Round-About this time of year, found several souls taking advantage of the beautiful day.

Anna Banana Kruchten CRS, Phoenix Broker - Funny thing. . .As many times as I've been in that shop, I can't recall buying any chocolates.  I have always went straight for the ice cream.  I need to change that, one of these days.

Chris Ann Cleland - We'll absolutely do it!  Old Town Folsom is only about 3 or 4 blocks long, so it's a comfortable walk, with so much to see or do within that space.

Myrl, Sounds like a fun place to walk around.  Gosh if possible, I'd have to get their ice cream with chucks of the their chocolate on top!

Old Town Folsom California is so interesting! I'm thinking it has been in many films, only because I've never been there but it looks familiar! Oh, how I wish I could be there to walk through the town and stop at the ice cream place with you and to talk your ear off! Old Town Folsom looks so charming and wonderful! I can't imagine how many locals and tourists have been there and enjoyed it too. I am glad you had this time there.

I spent a few summer weekends in Folsom on the American River as a teen. Great town. To this day, when I visit my son in El Dorado Hills, I stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Sacramento Folsom 😃
