Friday Fun…What Was Your Favorite?
When I was thinking about this post, I was considering asking about a listing/staging/ loan, etc that you did that you wish you could do-over.
But, I’d rather focus on the positive so instead, I wonder what was a favorite transaction you had and why.
Several of my clients popped into my mind but one actually involved 2 clients and the same house.
I provided a staging consultation for a seller who was moving with his family to Central Florida for his work, The family could not have been nicer and were willing to do what it took to get their home sold. It was not 2020 so homes were not selling as quickly as they are today.
The home did sell and the lovely family moved to Central Florida.
Fast forward a few months… an agent’s client was ready to pull the trigger on a home. She was getting cold feet though, unsure of where she could place her furniture and what kind of moderate updates she could make after she moved in.
The agent referred her buyer to me. As I drove into the neighborhood and up to the house, I was having deja vu. I couldn’t figure out why, though.
Still had no clue for a few minutes after I walked in and BAM…it hit me!! This was the same home I’d consulted on for the seller moving to Central FL 3 months earlier!
I’d only been to the home once. After sellers start the preparing and selling process, they often don’t have time to bring the stagers back for “after” photos or to tweek what they’ve done even though it was included in my staging consultation fee. I was pleasantly surprised to see what the sellers had done.
The rest of the story… the agent’s buyer was relieved to see that her existing furniture would work and signed the contract and I got to take my “After” photos!
