Neighborhood Information

It's little wonder that Westfield, New Jersey, is often rated as one of the most excellent locations to live in the state. Start by strolling through its tree-lined neighborhoods, which look like something out of a fairy tale. There are more than 100 restaurants and stores in the city's downtown area, which is very walkable. Schools and sports in the area are also well regarded if that is important to you. (As of 2016, the Westfield High School football team had the state's longest winning streak!). Its closeness to major highways and public connections to Manhattan make Westfield a great location for commuters. Isn't that the perfect scenario? In 2019, New Jersey Monthly ranked Westfield No. 49 on its "Top 100 Towns in New Jersey" list because of this. According to Westfield's 2016 New York Times feature, it is a place where a "small town meets urban." According to the article, among the many advantages of suburban living in Westfield include "a bustling downtown, a strong cultural scene, and decent transportation alternatives," as well as "a sense of community." This is precisely what I was going for! Although it has a population of roughly 30,000, Westfield has the feel of a metropolis. Nonetheless, the town is still small enough that you'll run into your neighbors and friends while shopping at the supermarket. At events like the Downtown Jazz Festival, Trick or Treat in the Downtown, and Apple Fest, as well as the Memorial Day Parade, you'll see how proud the community is of its members.

Real Estate Information

Founded in 1720, the Westfield Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the town's rich heritage. Explore the city, and you'll see a fascinating blend of old and new structures. Overall, the town has done an excellent job of preserving its historic charm while also providing residents with the amenities of today. Charles Addams famously based the "Addams Family" house on a mansard-style colonial in Westfield, Massachusetts!. Interested homebuyers will surely love the excellent combination of antique and newly built homes in Westfield as they will have a more comprehensive selection of residential properties to choose from.
