Wake Forest Fireworks Spectacular
Thursday, July 3; 6:00 p.m.
Trentini Stadium, Wake Forest-Rolesville High School
Fireworks, games, live entertainment, and a whole lot more await you at this year's 4th of July Celebration! Now in its 36th year, this community extravaganza is Wake Forest's most eagerly-anticipated summer-time event serving up two days worth of fun-filled activities for the entire family. The 4th of July Celebration gets underway Thursday, July 3 at Wake Forest-Rolesville High School's Trentini Stadium. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person. Children ages six and under are admitted free. Advance tickets will be available at several locations throughout Wake Forest, including the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce, NC Speciality Shops, and The Wake Weekly. As a special offer, buy four tickets in advance and get your fifth ticket free! The Band of Oz, one of the southeast's most popular beach music bands and a 1997 Beach Music Hall of Fame inductee, will again headline this year's celebration. Other acts will include Don Carrington's Parachute Team, the Friendship Chapel Choir and the Bull City Garage Band. But what would a 4th of July Celebration be without fireworks? Not to worry! Children's Parade
Friday, July 4; 10:00 a.m.
North Main Street
On Friday, July 4, the Children's Parade along North Main Street will give area youngsters the opportunity to hop on their bicycles and be a part of a "walking parade" designed just for them! The lineup begins at 10 a.m. at the intersection of North Main Street and West Juniper Avenue, near the Wake Forest College Birthplace. The parade is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Participation in the Children's Parade is free but bicyclists are encouraged to wear their helmets! Art in the Park/Games in the Park
Friday, July 4; 11:00 a.m.
Holding Park, 133 W. Owen Ave.
Following the Children's Parade, head over to Holding Park, 133 West Owen Avenue, for Art-in-the-Park and Games-in-the-Park! Starting at 11 a.m., children of all ages can create a variety of cool arts and crafts projects, and join in a slew of games and activities that include a watermelon seed spitting contest, sack races, and tug-of-war - just to name a few. Festival Friday
Friday, July 4; 6:00 p.m.
Festival Park, S. White Street
Festival Friday is scheduled to be held each Friday from June 6 through October 17 on the grounds of Festival Park. In case of rain, the festivities will move indoors. The event is free and prizes will be awarded each week to selected Festival Friday performers. The point of Festival Friday is to provide a venue every Friday night, free to the public, for local teens to gather in a safe, fun environment and encourage local artists to show off their skills. Wake Forest Farmers' Market

Downtown Wake Forest - Municipal Parking Lot
The market offers fresh produce, pasture-raised beef, poultry and pork, free-range eggs, fresh and dried herbs, honey, jams and preserves, plus a whole lot more.
