My First Staging job

By
Home Stager with Stage-Show-Sell

Today I'm going threw all my oldphotos and cleaning out the duplicates etc.  I ran across the photos of the first staging job that I did for one of my attorneys.

The condo is right on the lake with a beautiful view.

The job involved cleaning out many years of 'collectibles' and just stuff. We painted, organized and staged.  The owner had many items so it wasn't necessary to rent anything.

The creative window treatment in the office and bedroom was to hide the view of the garage.

The condo was sold to the 2nd buyer who walked in the door.   Other units in the complex were on the market for two years.

The focal point is not the window for reasons that can't be seen in the photo.

Virginia- Thanks for sharing your first job with us! I think it's fun to look back, because I have picked up so much knowledge along the way.

HI Virginia,

It is fun to look back isn't it. I was very luck in that I had a mentor, Darren Brand.  Darren definitely taught me the basics of Staging. I think of him on every job.

When you start asking yourself if you should put one more thing on that table remember Staging is about restraint and balance.  If you are putting one more thing on the table and it doesn't feel right listen to your gut and stop.

Michelle,  you are so right.   I would never put that much on a table again.  Especially such a small table
