On January 20, get ready to ‘havarti’ a ‘gouda’ time, because it’s National Cheese Lover’s Day! Have you ever wondered how the first human discovered cheese? We’ve wondered that too, and we’ll probably never find out. All we know is that it was love at first bite; when the first human tasted the salty, tangy, delicious goodness of cheese, they were hooked. And we can definitively say that human history was forever changed. Cheese might have had mysterious beginnings over 7,000 years ago, but it’s insanely popular today. In the U.S, one-third of all milk produced in this country goes into cheese production. It’s a multi-billion dollar industry! We’re ready to celebrate it.
Believe it or not I did not care for cheese until I was about 40 years old Will Hamm BUT today I love all kinds of cheese.

Cheese! I couldn't get enough of it before I found out I was allergic to dairy. I do miss it a lot, and I am so glad that there are more and more alternatives available. Some even taste like the real thing and melt like it, too!

Dear Will,
When you carry your milk or cream in skin bags, it can turn into soft cheese. I am sure, it was invented by pure coincidence in many places & once people took a liking to it, the recipes were shared. Good thing, we live today, where the product comes in many forms.
What would we do without our beloved cheese? I hope I never have to find out. I hope you have a happy Friday and a wonderful weekend Will 🙂
