Before finding Active Rain I was searching. Searching for a better way to do business. Searching for the right systems to put in place. Searching for information on websites, SEO, call capture, consumer practices regarding real estate, basically anything I could get my hands on.
You see, when I commit to doing something, I HAVE to learn everything I can on the subject. I can't assimilate the information fast enough. I almost become obsessive about it. Call it what you will, I just want to be the best I can be. And I know many (maybe most) of my fellow Active Rainers are the same.
Now, where SEO is concerned and many of the other internet related subjects, you can't beat the information you'll find here on Active Rain. But when I started my journey (before I knew about AR), I learned many valuable lessons by simply subscribing to the online version of Broker Agent News called Broker Agent Pro.
Every week or two they e-mail me the latest edition that includes four topics. Most of these topics are related to things agents want to know in this day and age. This publication is by far, one of the most valuable pieces I found in my search for information. And the best part is... It's FREE!
Most of you veteran agents are probably very familiar with Broker Agent News but for those of you newer to the business, you should take a look. There is also a print version you can subscribe to for a fee, and I have considered doing that just because I have gained so much from the e-Newsletter version. So check it out. It really gave me a leg up on the direction I needed to go with my marketing efforts.
