This Week…Don’t Lay Those Eggs Yet!
We’ve been preparing for some much colder weather this week. This morning we should have below-freezing temperatures.
I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am ungrateful to those teachers. Khalil Gibran
For those up north who might be laughing…I get it. But those of us in Texas are still reeling from last Valentine’s Day snow, freeze, pipe-bursting, and power outage event.
When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight. Khalil Gibran
Our bluebirds that are so often featured here have built their nest and are looking a little too frisky! We want them to hold off laying any eggs until we get warmer weather but as I understand it…we have no say in it.
Wisdom ceases to be wisdom when it becomes too proud to weep, too grave to laugh, and too selfish to seek other than itself. Khalil Gibran
While going through books this week, I came across one of my favorites…The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran.
Life without liberty is like a body without spirit. Khalil Gibran
Hope you don’t mind that I’ve chosen to share some with you. Skip over them if you wish.
Stay warm this weekend!
