The Greater Charlotte Region market is suffering from a severe shortage of listing inventory. Charlotte region ended 2021 with just 0.6 months of inventory of homes (compared with 1.1 months one year ago). As a result homes are selling quickly -- in 19 days, on average. As of January 22nd, Charlotte region housing inventory was at its lowest level ever at 2,928 homes for sale. The Charlotte region is a seller's market plain and simple. Home prices are also way up. Average home prices in the Charlotte Region increased 15.5% year-over-year, while median home prices increased 16.1% year-over-year. Since 2017 median home prices have increased 44.6%.
