A glimpse of your day at  Lake Livingston begins here.

You awake inside your gorgeous 3 bedroom, 2 bath waterfront home and sit up in your bed and a beautiful dawn awaits you. You stretch and smile as the colors fill your room with energy and hope. You look at your partner sleeping soundly and decide to let them sleep and that to be alone is fine for now. You wipe the sleep from your eyes while watching the sun make its appearance with a wonderful yellow glow. You watch the blue waters lap upon your shore and you see the diamond sparkles dance on the peaks of the waves like a gem. You know you're home and where you want to be!  Gray Herons walk the shore, feeding upon the abundance of small fish and bugs. Turtles are sunning on the old stump right off your boathouse and all is serene and lovely.

Wake Up on Lake Livingston!

You smile with the realization that this is happening to you.

You are here. You own a piece of your own paradise. You captured a piece of your dream. Had you known it was going to be so easy you would have done this years before. You then hear the words of your parents..."plan ahead for your retirement dear...it's never too soon!"

Even though retirement is still a ways away you feel released from the stress and pressures of city living. When you "listen" you hear quiet. No traffic. Just the wake up call of exotic birds. You hear the rustle of the Oak Tree's mighty limbs and leaves that cast shade and shadows on your bit of heaven and you breathe a breath deeper and fuller and richer than you ever could in the city.

The rich smell of coffee fills the air with the aroma of your Lake Livingston morning.

And, you are happy.

You pour your coffee, step out on the back deck and sit under the shade of your Oak tree. You begin thinking back to the first day you learned of the treasures of Lake Livingston, Texas. It really was like a treasure hunt without the hope of finding the treasure...but low and behold, here you are. "How did I get so lucky, you think to yourself?" Oh, sure. Just happenstance. "I remember now."

Deb told us she felt that angels gathered there to refresh and reflect.

Robert, I am so lucky to have found you and Silly as friends...by the way it's Sylvia but I call her either Silly or Syblevia...you might have to be there...

Jennifer, Come on. they are beautiful. I have a pond in front of my property and the huge birds land and fish. I often times will see wild Mallard Ducks and Wood Ducks early in the mornings.

Martha and Anne, thank you! You should experience it if you ever get a chance to. It's worth it.

Thanks Carole, but you make me want to go to a concert! Sounds like more fun to me!

Oh antiquing, you hit my buttom.  I think Gary will wring my neck if I drag any more antiques in though.  I just added two that I have to re-finish.  I love refinishing antiques though.

Oh Marchel, we have some shops downtown Huntsville that are to die for! I found an oriental screen circa 1950's (real thing) and I bought it for 199.00. When I got home and looked it up on eBay they are going starting at $3,000.00. We've gotta go! Later in the rain~Deb

Had to come back and check, to see if Id lost my mind completely?  When you click on your entry for #6 this is the one that comes up, the first one I read that I told you I thought was a "true work of art"...so not sure why you think this one is not the one they judged?

Doesn't matter you and Melissa DESERVED TO WIN, congratulations my friend.  I'm very proud and happy for you.  Be sure and take a couple of sweater, and clothes you can "layer" to San Francisco.  It's one of my favorite cities in the US, and y'all are going to have a blast!

Gotta come go fishing with Rhett and I at our lake...Limestone.  He is a hoot, but you need ear plugs...here's the picture with the fish he got before I could get it away from him.  Hugs, Liz

Hi Hon,

This really does describe it perfectly. I love helping people find their Lake spot to "wake up and smell the coffee". I got that pleasure today as George and Sandra Wood told me they didn't want to go home after closing on their Lakehome.

That picture is cool. Makes me want to go get our boat out. And ride!! -S Congratulations on the Feature. And a VERY BIG HIGH FIVE on this weeks competition.

Hi Deb - I like the contrast between "serene and lovely" and the roar of the motorboat in the picture. My guess is it's the guy sleeping late after a day of boating and waterskiing. Looks like a beautiful lake for recreation or relaxation.

Thank you Nestor and Katerina, I saw your new pictures and they are wonderful. Kat, you have one of the sweetest smiles I've ever seen. It makes me want to give you a hug!

Joan, thank you. Come visit and we'll take you out!

Lizette, thank you. Bring your boat. You will see and enjoy what I'm talking about!

Liz, San Francisco is one of the cities I've never had the opportunity to visit. I would love to go there but there are a lot of contestants that deserve to be there; We will see.

Thank you Mr. Brooks.. How would you like a trip  to SF? I would.

Teri, thank you. It looks just like that.

Trey, Lake Limestone reminds me a lot of Lake Livingston. It's beautiful

Hi Deb...I was living every moment of that with you.  You put it so beautifully.  I feel those feelings day after day and am always grateful.

Anyone reading that will want to have their spot at Lake Livingston...unless they have a piece of heaven by the water somewhere else.

Kathleen

P.S.  You have insprired me.  I will write something similar for my buyer's package.

DEB - This was the most impressive piece of writing about an area that I've ever read.  If it wasn't so hot in Texas, I'd be talking to you about working together after I relocate!  Great job, and a well-deserved feature.

5:53am • #30

Adam, it's only hot here about three months out of the year. The rest of the time it is quite mild...at least based on how hot it gets here! whew. I understand and thanks for the compliment!

Jesse, the boating part is fun! Come on!

Jeremy, thank you sir for your kind words.

Kate, I'm so glad you have your own piece of heaven! Everyone should get to enjoy it~Later in the rain~Deb

Steven, without a doubt! This time of year the water is a bit warm but not bad! While you're floating you feel these wonderfully cool bursts of water wrapping around you. It's great.
