The Town of Mint Hill in Mecklenburg County remains one of Greater Charlotte region's more affordable areas for homes, with any number of communities still selling in the $300,000's and even in the higher $200,00's. 581 homes sold in Mint Hill/28227 zip code area in 2021 at an average price of $431,997. This compares with 486 homes sold in 2020 at an average price of $372,646. Clearly home prices in Mint Hill appreciated significantly year-over-year. Mint Hill home sellers received 101.8% of list price in final sale price in 2021 compared with 98.9% in 2020. Homes not only sold for more, they sold more quickly -- in 17 days, on average in 2021, compared with 39 days in 2020.

A new home community being built by Meritage Homes, Mint Hill Village was the #1 selling neighborhood in Mint Hill in 2021.  47 homes sold at an average sale price of $373,333 during 2021.  Average days on market in Mint Hill Village were 23 days in 2021. Home sold at 99.7% of list price in sale price in 2021.

Ed Silva hi Ed... it's like a free-for-all when some of the more modestly priced homes in Mint Hill come on market. By the same token, I'm looking at some selling in the $400,000's that we couldn't "give away" a few years ago in the $200,000's.
