Friday Fun…Celebrating Inventors
In my journey through cyberspace, I learned that today is National Inventors Day, which was so declared by President Ronald Reagan in
Edison had over 1,000 patents during his lifetime. |
1983. This date was chosen to honor Thomas Alva Edison.
He is followed by Jerome Lemelson with 500+ patents. Not familiar with his name? (I wasn’t) If you’ve had a VCR, Camcorder, fax, or cordless phone, you have him to thank.
So for Friday Fun, what are some of your favorite, can’t-live-without inventions.
It’s too easy to say the light bulb or the automobile so share with us something big or little that you are so thankful someone invented it!!!
I’ll share one…Post-It Notes! I use them every day and have pads in my office, kitchen, master bathroom, and by my bed!!
To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk. Thomas A. Edison
If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves. Thomas A. Edison
