I've just signed up here at Active Rain and am really enjoying all the information. I've been a Realtor in Los Angeles for 10 years, but the market has hit a soft spot after years of amazing activity and I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant. I'm coming to Active Rain for some motivation and hoping to get a take on how to be successful w/a newborn. I'm afraid that between the changing market and my changing life, I'm going to have a hard time. Any thoughts out there?

Welcome to Active Rain! I believe there is a group here that has to do with working mothers. (I honestly haven't paid too much attention since I'm long past that!) However, I'm sure you'll find plenty of motivational articles. Unfortunately, the market has taken a turn, but as history repeats itself, will always go back up again. There are different avenues in Real Estate though, teaching, investing, foreclosures, property management, rentals, etc. You may want to do some searches on the blogs here and see what you find.
