It was a very strange week weather wise. One day it was seventy degrees, sunny and a beautiful great day to shut the computer and take a walk by the river. I met some very nice people who knew and purchases their condo from Dennis Kulp now deceased, but was the broker of the last company I worked for and a great friend of this very nice couple. We had a nice conversation while watching this huge barge dredge the river. The next night it was snowing.
I also had time to try this one bowl sour cream banana bread recipe. It was so easy and by the end, I was convinced it was going to be a flop. It looked nothing like the picture on YouTube .While it was in the oven I ran to Lou's Farmers Market and purchased more overripe bananas for 49 cents a pound. Was pretty shocked to see the price for regular bananas at 89 cents a pound . What are they in your area this week? Well, seems my worry was for naught as it turned out delicious and actually perfect to my great surprise!
There are no Deals in gas prices that I could find except that if you buy at the beginning of the week prices will be lower than towards the weekend
Amazon Deals : Great steal one I just purchased myself called a KMAT it is an anti fatigue non slip kitchen mat, this is a 2 piece set usually sells for $49 on sale for $29 (I think I paid that for 1) - Ninja Foodi Dual zone 2 baskets air fryer does it all 5 star rating - $199-- Beats solo 3 wireless ear headphones apple wifi $129 reduced from $199
Roy Kelley mentioned LIDL last week a newer store in the area also my friends Dean and Paul has stopped there and said there were bargains and delights there. So I checked it out this week. I think if you sign up online the deals are even better. When you first walk in there are these delightful breads filled with cheeses and herbs. I purchased a few reasonable prices. There were also beautiful produce and great prices and cheeses and chicken. Then I came upon the lovely plants . I picked up 2 miniature daffodils and 2 miniature tulip plants stamped raised by women and extremely healthy- cost 2 to $5- Texas garlic cheese toast $.99 -Beautiful asparagus $1.99 - I picked up some Gelato for $2.99 - chicken -They also had great prices on seafood - walked over to pet food they had cat food cans same as everywhere same brands and pretty bare. I did, however walk out with jumbo eggs for 85 cents with an expiration date of April 24. If you like frozen foods, there were also great prices they had White Castle hamburger sliders and a tiramisu frozen delight. Bagels pack of 6 many choices could be had for 1.35 plus land of lake butter 2 for $5 and Stromboli packed with pepperoni, capicola, salami mozzarella, sauce and wrapped in dough, 2 for $4- I purchased four full bags and spent $50 and I think every week is something new -almost purchased coke, but soda tax stopped me - This store had great steals & deals but you need to know your prices wish I had shopped there first as their cheese prices were awesome
I LOVE DOONEY: Still Having a sale use code: save big - I can assure you it will not last too much longer. When spring and summer arrive you will be glad you purchased and saved big
I am working on a few listings . I do have ground for sale, lots of interest, but nothing in writing yet. Spring is almost here I see small buds on the trees. Time to clean the closets get rid of the clothes you do not wear. If you did not wear it this year, chances are you will not wear it next year. Get a big trash bag and donate the clothes you can write it off on your taxes. You can feel good that someone in need is making good use of these clothes . Play it forward and it will bring you good luck .
Please come back next week
