We have been so excited by our 5 chicks in our box at home however yesterday it became apparent to us that Mama bluebird is missing.

Poor Papa bluebird is doing everything he can to keep the chicks fed with live mealworms. One chick has fallen out twice and Larry has placed it back in the box. My thought is that they are hungry and reach up to the hole where mama would come to feed them.

That is why we are trying so hard to keep live worms out there for them.
What is unbearable for us both to hear is Papa bluebird calling out for his mate.
