Ready to go look for a new home? Before you go out to look your real estate will (should) ask you these questions. They should be asked for several reasons. They should be asked for the safety and security of the seller AND the agent!
- Have you talked with a lender yet and are you pre-qualified to purchase?
- Do you need to sell your current property before you buy another?
- If you are leasing, when will your lease be up?
- May we have a copy of your driver's license for the office file?
- Are you already working with another agent?
- Who else will be assisting you in making the decision to purchase and which property to choose?
- Will you meet me at MY office before we start looking for property?
- Will you sign an Exclusive Buyer Agency Agreement?
- How soon are you wanting to purchase?
- Why are you moving now?
Buyers - please remember the agent has a responsibility to the seller and to himself. The agent needs to know who you are, why you are wanting to see the house, can you afford it and that they will be safe showing you. Yes sometimes it is an inconvenience but in today's world we have to understand that these questions need to be asked an answered.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and willingness to work with us to all achieve our goals - Helping sellers sell and buyers buy.

Susan: Very good points that I think alot of new agents forget--somehow I think that I forgot a few of those but, once you have one that's NOT prequalified or your safety is in question because you didn't have them meet you at the office or in a public place, you'll never do that again!!
