Hi Nick... astonishing how many people forget they need to cough up thousands of additional dollars to close on a home, especially if they are financing and doing escrowed taxes and insurance.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel sometimes they are significant, especially if you are escrowing taxes and you settle right before the school taxes are due.

Joan Cox  we are always trying to educate buyers on what to expect so they can make the right decisions.

Great information for buyers, Nick! It seems different to split the state transfer tax - in NC, it's the seller's responsibility UNLESS it's new construction, when it's buyer's responsibility. 

It does boggle the mind when agents, nor their lenders, fail to share these expenses with the buyers prior to going under Contract. It can be a nightmare for some!
