HOUSING

Focusing on the positive instead of the negative can do more good for the greater good. Small business is the engine of employment in the real estate industry. For every house that goes on the market owners rely on painters, plumbers, electrical technicians, etc. To sell a home is a project that requires organization, selecting the right Listing Agent, attention to details, flexibility, repairing, replacing, and lots of patience. To buy a home is to dream the impossible dream and believe your dream will come true. It also requires working with the right Buyer’s Agent. Whether it is buying or selling there is a lot of planning, creating, making promises, negotiations, and most of all, patience. Remember, the best investment a homeowner can make towards their community is to shop locally, whether that’s for materials, food, products or a real estate agent. For local business owners, no job is too small!

VISION

Whether you plan to buy or sell, own or rent, every community does more good, if there is a good vision for a great cause. The Flower Mound’s Miracle League is building a field of dreams. Miracle League is a 300-plus chapter global baseball league for children with special needs. Location in Flower Mound is Bakersfield Park, affectionately called the heart of baseball in Flower Mound, Texas. The vision is coming to fruition by this fall and so far, 66 kids are counting on their dream to come true.

LOCAL HORSE OWNER DREAMS BIG DREAMS

Flower Mound resident Clint Cornett, owner of White Abbario horse is prepping for the Kentucky Derby on May 7, 2022. The “three year old colt is currently No. 6 on the leaderboard with 15 prep races left.”

SPRING IS CREATION

How anyone can live in Flower Mound without planting flowers and trees is beyond me. Flower Mound is lucky to have Calloway Nursery and Schmitz Garden Center (formerly Huggins). Both provide extraordinary services and expert advise is always available to customers. Now is the time to plan. Interior designs are good but exterior designing around landscaping and flower beds makes a bold statement to your community. A kitchen isn’t the only thing that needs a new facelift. After a dormant winter, let there be life and contribute to making everything green and growing! A home is an investment. Making long-term relationships with business owners builds trust, opportunity, growth, and prosperity!

"Without continual growth and progress, such words as

improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning."

---Benjamin Franklin

WISDOM

Lessons I learned since I was a child:

  • Never feed a horse on the floor of a dirty stall. If exposed to filth, there may be recurring internal parasite problems. By the same token, people need to keep their floors and houses clean whether they are planning to sell or not. The truth is, nobody lives in a house forever. Cleanliness matters.

  • Houseplants and garden plants can make a home beautiful. Some plants are poisonous for cats. If you're a cat lover, choose wisely. Knowing safe plants from dangerous ones can save your cat's life. Symptoms of poisoning in cats may include: no appetite, swollen tongue, tender or painful abdomen, convulsions, acute diarrhea, and repeated vomiting.

  • Spring cleaning is a necessity. Keeping clothes and things you do not use is wasteful. Examine every item closely and make wise decisions about what you keep, recycle, throw away, or donate. Sanitation and cleanliness is the easiest chore and makes a world of difference.

Nina Hollander, Broker Pansies make great companions. Their little smiling faces always make my day! Seeing them outside your Office window when you look up will surely give you a shot of endorphins and that's exactly what you need. My thoughts are with you and your family overseas.

"Without continual growth and progress, such words as

So many young people stare in their phone and say "I'm bored". It's sad to see them with a car, nice clothes, latest phone and no ambition or drive, as everything was given to them and not EARNED.

faye schubert - I am continuously hearing about how much damage the pandemic caused for so many people, especially school children and teens.

Sadly, kids can't drive, vote, work, or drink until they are of age. Yet when it comes to cell phones and computers there are no limitations or restrictions. Big mistake, is what I think and it's not that I am against it, I just don't think it was ever thought out carefully when it became part of education in the schools. Everything has to be in moderation or it becomes an addiction. Suicide and Depression has risen.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel - Some people get their relaxation at a Spa. As for me, I'll take in the sights and sounds of a garden nursery any day! Pansies and petunias are welcoming. A cherry tomato sounds delicious!

Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint-Idaho - Loved your perspective on this "crazy market." In reference to your line:  "the most sensible direction when selling or buying Real Estate," I'm reminded of Jane Austin's classic, Sense & Sensibility:

"In her title Sense and Sensibility, Austen makes an allusion the argument she will make in this fictitious work: that 'Sense', the use of the intellect to understand the world, and 'Sensibility', the emotional perspective of life, could either create friction or balance when used together.

Real Estate Professionals can make a valid argument using Sense and Sensibility into today's market!

Mark, thanks for the inspiration!!!
