National Common Courtesy Day - March 21, 2022
When I saw that today was National Common Courtesy Day I knew right away what my blog of the day was going to be!!
My son, Liam, works in customer service at a local grocery store and he often remarks about common courtesy is lacking. Now, coming from a 23-year-old young man that is saying something!!
Here are a few examples:
- Please and Thank you
- Holding the door for someone
- Letting someone with fewer items go first at the checkout
- Not talking on your phone in the check out line at the store
- Letting someone merge in traffic
- Can I help you with that?
- Helping your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles with things they might need
- Stopping over to a neighbor and making sure everything is okay with them
- Shoveling the walk for an elderly neighbor or cutting their grass
There are so many ways that we can exhibit common courtesy and if everyone just practiced one, imagine what a different place the world would be!!
